Saying Good-bye...
Hi Everyone!
Saying good-bye is not easy even in the best of times, so after 22 years of working for Compassion Canada, I have made the hard but exciting decision to retire. In honour of these 22 years, I was searching for a tangible way to say good-bye to a global ministry that has literally changed my life. I would like to celebrate my retirement by contributing to a very critical need that's happening in Compassion's ministry around the world right now due to Covid-19. And I'd like to invite you to join me.
I have contributed $220, my goal is $2200+ and I’m asking family and friends to consider giving $22.00 on the occasion of my retirement (effective July 31) to help children and families in this critical time of need. (As of 3:00pm today the goal has been exceeded - wow- so I am now adjusting that goal to $5,000) Thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart! (Please note: there won't be a $22.00 option so just choose "other".)
Did you know that this crisis has the potential to undo at least 10 years of progress toward poverty alleviation in developing countries?
This prediction is heartbreaking. Together, with your support, I am partnering with Compassion to equip the local church across the globe to provide immediate relief—like desperately needed food, medical care, housing security and hygiene supplies—to the most vulnerable communities among us.
Will you join me in helping restore what COVID-19 has destroyed for those in poverty?
