Running with Compassion
Did you know that this crisis has the potential to undo at least 10 years of
progress toward poverty alleviation in developing countries?
church across the globe to provide immediate relief to the most vulnerable communities. Through the COVID-19 relief gifts featured in the Gifts of Compassion gift guide, Compassion is seeking to help restore what COVID-19 has destroyed through urgent provision of critical needs like:

So, as a way of fundraising, I am committing to run a half marathon (21.1km) on July 17, 2021. The route will be a circuit between Fergus and Elora. This will be a difficult challenge for me. I don't really enjoy running and almost never run more than 5km at a time!
In order to get ready for this challenge, I am starting an 8 week intensive running plan.
This goal I've set for this fundraiser is a relatively modest amount of $2000, but it would be amazing if we could even raise more!
Please click on the "Donate Now" button on the right to select a variety of gifts or any amount you wish to give. Donations over $10 will receive a tax receipt.

So the route for the run will start at the old Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus to Scotland Street to St Andrew Street E all the way to Metcalf Street in Elora to Water Street then back to Scotland Street in Fergus, then back to Metcalf Street in Elora. 21.1 km!
