Help the Driver girls raise $1000 for COVID-19 relief
The Driver family has set ourselves a goal of raising $1000 for COVID-19 relief for children and families living in poverty. As we have learned more about the pandemic’s effect on vulnerable people around the globe, we want to share our wealth.
Since March we have hunkered down in Halifax, stocked up at Costco, tried new recipes, and baked extra treats. But millions of people around the world have lost their daily income and reduced their diet from three meals a day to two or even one. This has been the reality for years, but the pandemic has shown a light on this disparity and made it worse.
There are various ways to support those in the most vulnerable circumstances. We are choosing to partner with Compassion International to equip local churches across the globe to provide immediate relief for crucial needs through emergency food packs, hygiene kits, rent assistance, and home reconstruction.
This November and December the Driver girls are creating cards, painting rocks, and weaving bracelets. Adriel is making soup, baking cookies, and drying apple chips. We would love to deliver these gifts to anyone making a contribution to Compassion’s COVID relief fund.
