Tracy's $10 Birthday Fundraiser!
Over the last number of years I have come to really appreciate the access I have to medical facilities in my community. I know for children and families living in poverty having a medical issue can be a matter of life or death. Whether it be a lack of funds to access care or the challenges in getting to a medical facility, these situations pose an incredible hardship.
For my birthday this year, I am asking my friends and family to donate just $10 towards this cause of Health and Wellness for children. It will just take 53 of you to reach my goal of $540. That's $10 a year for each year of my life! I know that together we can do it.
Did you know one billion children worldwide are experiencing multi-dimensional poverty? They live without access to education, healthcare, housing, nutrition, sanitation or water. They live without hope for a bright future. But the compassion of people like us can change that.
Raising funds for Compassion Canada’s programs around the world gives us the opportunity to respond. Everything Compassion does is driven by local churches. Together, we are meeting real needs in partnership with local leaders who know and love the kids and families in their communities.
I am partnering with Compassion to raise funds for Compassion's Health and Wellness initiatives! This includes gifts such as mosquito nets, dental kits, food for malnourished children and hygiene kits. These gifts can mean a matter of life and death for children and their families as they face multifaceted crises and build resiliency for the future.
